CHEESE CHASER (1982)

"We found this game at a random garage sale for only two dollars. The guy who sold it to us said he discovered it while 'garbage diving' at a local landfill," recalls one of our lovely volunteers.

CHEESE CHASER appears to be a platformer by NekoSoft :3, one of the most influential studios among the small handful that ever developed for the MonoBox during its short-lived lifespan.

The goal is simple: collect all the cheese in a level while avoiding dangerous obstacles, much like other, much more successful titles of that era.

The controls are straightforward, just like every other MonoBox game: Left Arrow for moving left, Right Arrow for moving right, A to jump. If you connect a keyboard via the Keyboard Expansion, the controls change to A, D, Space, respectively.

This cartridge seems to contain only a demo version, as suggested by the screen that appears after collecting all the cheese in the single available level. One has to wonder, will the complete game ever surface?
